Texas Dallas Baseball Team Tags 16 Runs On Eagles

Clarksville, Ark.-Texas Dallas plated four runs in the first inning and never allowed Ozarks to get back into the game in a 16-6 win over the Eagles Friday afternoon in American Southwest Conference play.
    
After scoring four runs in the first, Texas Dallas (16-13, 12-7 ASC) added one more in the second and three more in the fourth before Ozarks (6-19, 3-14 ASC) would score. The Comets then scored three more times in the sixth to put the game out of reach. The Eagles did respond with four runs in the bottom of the ninth behind five hits. Alex Smith, Dean Igert and Sam Shook all had RBI in the inning.
    
Texas Dallas had 18 hits against five different pitchers. Alex Rodriguez (3-4) was tagged with the loss.
    
Ozarks will finish its series against Texas Dallas tomorrow in a double-header starting at 12:00 p.m.
