Clarksville, Ark. – University of the Ozarks junior designated hitter Chase Edwards was named to the D3baseball.com All-West Region Second Team, it was announced Thursday (May 23).

His All-Region award follows another regional honor from May 9, the Google Cloud Academic All-District Team. The left-handed hitting native of Chandler, Ariz., also earned All-Conference First Team honors for the Eagles in 2019. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Edwards ranked among the American Southwest Conference's top-10 in batting (.382), slugging percentage (.625), RBI (41) and home runs (9). Edwards produced 55 hits, including eight doubles, and 90 total bases. He owned a .451 on-base percentage and hit safely in 27 games.

He is a two-time member of the ASC All-Academic Team and a two-time All-Conference performer. 

The All-Region team consists of three teams and was voted on by Sports Information Directors from the D3Baseball.com West region.
