Competitive Cheerleading Team Competes In Branson

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks cheerleading team competed at COA in Branson, Missouri, March 14.

Despite having to change their entire routine prior to the competition as a result of lingering injuries, the team made improvements from its last competition, according to Head Coach Tori Cox. In Branson, the team achieved a 91.1 raw score, and ended up with a 89.6 after deductions.

"Our goal is to achieve two consecutive 90-plus point days in Hot Springs this weekend." said Cox. "The days will be averaged together to compete against three other teams for Grand Championships, so this is very important to achieve high scores."

Ozarks will head to Hot Springs, Ark., for the JamFest nationals March 21-22.
