Men’s Basketball Team Ends Season With Loss

Clarksville, Ark.-The men's basketball team finished the season with a 95-86 loss against Louisiana College Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

All five starters for Ozarks (8-17, 6-16 ASC) reached double figures in scoring, with Josh Ferrell pouring in 24 points. But Louisiana College (11-12, 10-11 ASC) was too much for the Eagles hitting 50 percent from the field in the contest. Ozarks led early in the game, but the Wildcats eventually built a double-digit advantage and went into intermission with a 50-38 lead.

Ozarks outscored Louisiana College 48-45 in the second half and climbed within ten points at the 12:33 mark only to have the Wildcats storm back and hold a 19 point advantage three minutes later.

Ferrell hit 12-of-16 from the free throw line in the contest. Ted Beard IV added 14 points and Joshua Clark and Kelby Robinson contributed 12 points each.  Ricky Allen posted 10 points.

Ozarks will return four starters for the 2014-2015 season.
