Ozarks (3-2, 1-1 ASC) played well enough to win against the Comets (4-2, 1-2 ASC), who were ranked No. 19 in the country last week, but couldn't maintain a narrow lead late in the game. Ozarks' pressure defense created 24 points off turnovers in the game. Ted Beard's layup with 6:26 remaining put Ozarks in front 58-57 only to have Texas-Dallas regain the lead for good five seconds later on a pair of free throws. The Eagles would get close on a number of occasions late, as Kelby Robinson scored an inside bucket to close the gap to 61-60 with 5:16 left. Josh Ferrell drilled a three-point shot with 2:07 on the clock to again cut the deficit to one point. However, that would be the final basket of the game for the Eagles.

The Comets drilled six three-pointers in the first half and rode the hot hand of Rafael Farley, who scored 19 first half points. Ozarks countered with Robinson, who posted 15 points in the first half. The Eagles trailed 32-23 with 5:53 remaining in the half before Robinson took over. Robinson scored ten straight points to get the Eagles within 35-33. Josh Berard then made a layup to send the Eagles into intermission tied 35-35.

Robinson finished with 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field. He also had a team-best eight rebounds. Berard had 13 points, while Jace Richardson contributed 11 points.

Ozarks will host Hardin-Simmons University December 6.
