Eagles Hit Five Three-Pointers Over Three-Minute Span In 93-60 Win

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles started slow, but a barrage of three-pointers with seven minutes remaining in the first half changed the momentum as Ozarks took a 93-60 win over Central Christian College Saturday in its home-opener.

Ozarks (2-0) had only 13 points after nearly nine minutes of play before exploding for 17 points over a three-minute span.  The Eagles led 20-18 at the 7:27 mark of the first half, but hit five three-pointers in three minutes to take control 37-25. Kelby Robinson started the spurt with a long shot and Dylan Gray followed with another 45 seconds later. Robinson then stroked back-to-back three-pointers and Gray nailed his second of the game from long range to put Ozarks in control. Ozarks then cruised to a 50-33 halftime lead. Robinson paced Ozarks with 16 first half points.

Central Christian (3-1) never really got back into the game in the second half as Ozarks hit 58 percent from the field. Jace Richardson scored 16 second half points behind a 7-of-8 effort from the free throw line.

In all, four Eagles reached double figures in scoring, with Richardson finishing with 23 points. He also handed out seven assists. Robinson ended with 19 points and 11 rebounds to post a double-double, while Josh Berard and Josh Ferrell had 15 and 10 points, respectively.
