Cowboys Hot Start Dooms Eagles

Abilene, Texas-The Hardin-Simmons University Cowboys hit 11 three-pointers in the first half en route to a 112-91 win over the Eagles in American Southwest Conference play Saturday.

Hardin-Simmons (10-4, 5-1 ASC) led 58-39 at the half behind a 11-of-22 performance from the three-point line. The Cowboys hit 20-of-46 (43%) from the three-point line in the game and Ozarks made 14-of-31 (45%) from long-range. The Cowboys outrebounded Ozarks 57-37.

Dylan Gray made four three-pointers and scored 21 points to pace Ozarks (5-5, 0-4 ASC). Ben Grice also hit four three-pointers and added 12 points.

Ozarks will host Southwestern Adventist January 11, LeTourneau University January 14 and Texas-Tyler January 16.
