Berard, Richardson Combine For 65 Points In Loss

Clarksville, Ark.-The LeTourneau University men's basketball team outscored Ozarks 39-3 from the three-point line to fuel a 94-87 win Thursday in American Southwest Conference action.
    
LeTourneau's bench also came up big scoring 40 points. Jace Richardson carried the Eagles (6-6, 0-5 ASC) in the first half with a number of driving baskets. He finished with 16 first half points. Ozarks had the lead for the majority of the first half as Richardson sank a pair of free throws with 2:43 left to give the Eagles a 37-29 advantage. However, LeTourneau (7-9, 5-3 ASC) went on a run and led 40-39 at the half.

In the second half, Josh Berard went 10-for-12 from the field and scored 26 points. LeTourneau led 70-68 with 9:17 remaining, but then scored 10 straight points to take control of the contest.

Berard finished with 33 points and 14 rebounds, while Richardson ended with 32 points.

Ozarks will host Texas-Tyler Saturday.
