The ASC's leading scorer went 18-of-29 from the field and 21-of-25 from the free throw line. Berard (Fort Smith, Ark./Northside HS) poured in 27 points in the first half and 33 more in the second half. Berard also grabbed 11 rebounds. His 60 points are the most by an NCAA Division III player this season and places him 17th in the history of NCAA Division III (men's). Concordia's Donovan Ford, who came off the bench, countered with 51 points behind 12 three-pointers.

The previous school record for points was held by John Reed, who scored 42 points in 1971. K.B. DeBord from Concordia scored 53 points against McMurry in 2001 for the ASC record. Berard's 18 field goals are also a school record, breaking Bob Chance's 1968 mark of 17. Berard was one free throw short of tying the school record (22) set by Bill Crumpley in 1964. His 21 free throws also tied an ASC record as did his 29 shot attempts.

The Eagles (11-10, 2-9 ASC) allowed 81 points in the first half as Concordia (12-9, 6-5 ASC) hit 61 percent from the field. Despite Berard's effort, Ozarks couldn't get back into the game in the second half and trailed by double-digits the entire way.

Ozarks will host East Texas Baptist University February 11.
