
Clarksville, Ark.-Junior point guard Jace Richardson entered the record books as he became the school's all-time assist leader in Monday's loss against Texas Dallas.
Richardson surpassed Isaiah Boxell's record of 386, and now has 387 after recording four assists in the game. Richardson's record-setting assist came in the second half when Pete Barber nailed a three-pointer at the 1:21 mark. Boxell set the record in 2013.
Texas Dallas (6-14, 4-8 ASC) jumped out to a 43-26 halftime lead en route to a 87-56 win. The Eagles (7-13, 1-11 ASC) struggled from the field in the first half hitting just 22 percent. The Comets shot 14-of-29 (48%) from the three-point line in the game to keep the Eagles from a comeback. Ozarks, on the other hand, made 4-of-28 (14%) from long-range. Overall, Ozarks hit shot 30 percent from the floor.
Richardson finished with 17 points.
Ozarks will travel to Mississippi to face Belhaven University February 2.
