
Jackson, Miss.-Belhaven University hit a clutch three-pointer with 30 seconds remaining in the game to edge the University of the Ozarks men's basketball team 71-64 Thursday night.
Trailing 67-64 with 2:45 left in the game, Ozarks (7-14) was unable to record a field goal the rest of the way. Meanwhile, Brent Webber buried a three to secure the win for the Blazers in the final seconds.
The Eagles and Blazers were tied 39-39 at halftime and the game remained close in the second half. The Eagles regained the lead four different times during the second half after facing a deficit.
Jace Richardson scored 16 points and dished out seven assists for Ozarks.
Ozarks will travel to Texas to face East Texas Baptist February 9.
