Men's Basketball Team Takes On Second NCAA I Opponent

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's basketball team will take on its second NCAA I program of the season when it travels to Central Arkansas for an exhibition game against Little Rock Monday, December 18.

Tip-Off is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Jack Stephens Center. The game is considered an exhibition contest for Ozarks, but counts as a regular season game for the Trojans.
  
Wes Flanigan enters his second season as head coach and currently owns a 2-9 record this season. Flanigan's team is coming off a 57-55 loss against Sam Houston State December 15. Sophomore guard Andre Jones is the team's leading scorer (13.0). Junior forward Oliver Blacks leads the team in rebounding per game (7.8). The Trojans average 60.9 points per game and limit their opponents to a 43.9 shooting percentage. The Trojans advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in the 2015-2016 season.

The Eagles are under the direction of new head coach Travis Carruthers and own a 3-6 record. Senior foward Dylan Gray leads the team with a 12.4 scoring average. The Eagles average 69.3 points per game. Ozarks lost to Concordia University Texas 97-92 December 17. The Eagles first NCAA I opponent was University of Central Arkansas on November 12, a game the Bears won 99-51.
