THE BASICS
The Eagles gave up a double-digit lead in the second half as East Texas Baptist avenged a loss from a week ago winning 92-85 Thursday night. Robby Dooley's layup with one second left sent the game into overtime after the Eagles had a 70-56 advantage with 4:52 remaining in the game. In overtime, the Tigers outscored the Eagles 16-9. In its comeback, East Texas Baptist outscored the Eagles 20-6 in the final five minutes of regulation. A pair of Lance Gardner free throws gave the Eagles a three point cushion with 24 seconds left, but the Tigers were able to make one-of-two from the free throw line to bring it to 76-74 with 20 ticks. From there, the Eagles would miss a free throw and give the Tigers the last possession.  Lance Gardner had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the Eagles.
