THE BASICS
A long scoring drought by the Eagles allowed Louisiana College to pull away in the second half and secure a 78-68 conference win Saturday. Tied 46-46 with 14:20 left in the game, the Eagles wouldn't score again until the 9:13 mark. By that time the Wildcats had built a 64-48 lead. The Eagles never recovered. Louisiana College led just 32-30 at halftime. The Wildcats benefited from hitting 14-of-26 from the three-point line in the game. Darnel Renelique posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Eagles.
