Clay Target Team Places Second At UA-Hope Invitational

Columbus, Ark.-The men's and women's clay target team competed in the University of Arkansas-Hope Invitational Saturday and came away with impressive results.

Ozarks finished in second-place in the trap invitational. Team members included Jeffrey Proctor, Regan Puryear, Grace Brown, Dylan Holman and John Guthrie. Proctor scored a 94, Puryear scored a 96, Brown scored a 99, Holman scored a 77 and Guthrie scored a 94. Grace Brown missed just one target (99 of 100) to finish as high overall champion.

"I am very pleased with the progression of the team especially in American Trap," said head coach Mike Qualls. "We only competed with five members of the team. Our whole team will be traveling next week to the state collegiate shoot in preparation for our national competition."

After their competition Saturday, the team traveled to the Delta Resort & Spa in Tillar to practice for next week's Arkansas Collegiate Shoot event March 11-13.
