Clay Target Team Places Second At Drury University Shoot

The Eagles won their third consecutive shootout of the spring season.

Branson, Mo.-The women's and men's clay target team finished second overall and Shelby Skaggs was the women's HOA at the Drury University Shoot over the weekend at the Bass Pro Shooting Academy.

Lindenwood University edged the Eagles 1859 to 1825 to win the title. In addition to Skaggs earning the HOA, she was first in the Skeet competition. Skaggs scored a 73. Ashton Huffstutlar won the 5-stand event with a 94. On the men's side, Clayton Villines won the 5-stand competition with a 97. Jacob Tucker finished fourth in the HOA with 362. Mason Malin was eighth overall in the HOA with 360. Tucker was the team leader in Sporting Clays with 82. Keaton Little was the team's top finisher in Skeet with 73. Skaggs led the team in trap with 73. Dustin Robertson was the top finisher on the team in wobble with 50. 

The Eagles will travel to Sparta, Illinois for the Central Midwest Conference Championships October 12-13.
