Clay Target Team Places Third At Central Midwest Conference Championships

Ashton Huffstutlar won a number of events at the ACUI Eastern Super Shoot and USAS Qualifier.

Sparta, Ill.-The women's and men's clay target team posted a third-place finish at the Central Midwest Conference Championships in Illinois over the weekend.

Lindenwood University won the team title with 1657, while Emmanuel College followed with 1642. The Eagles posted a score of 1639. The Eagles had several individual highlights at the competition. 

Keaton Little won the men's American Skeet competition with 99. In women's American Skeet, Ashton Huffstutlar and Shelby Skaggs placed second and third, respectively. In men's American Trap, Charles Priddy was the team's top finisher placing fifth with 99. In women's American Trap, Skaggs placed second overall. In men's Sporting Clays, Jacob Tucker was fifth with 94. In women's Sporting Clays, Huffstutlar won the event with 92. Skaggs was third with 87. In men's Super Sporting Clays, Gavin Wheeler was the team's top finisher at seventh place with 43. In women's Super Sporting Clays, Huffstutlar and Skaggs were the top two performers overall, with Huffstutlar winning the event and Skaggs placing second. In the men's combined American events, Priddy was the team's top finisher at fourth place. He had 195. On the women's side, Skaggs won the combined American events with 194. Huffstutlar was third with 190. In men's combined American and Sporting events, Tucker was the team's top finisher. Tucker was ninth overall with 325. On the women's side, the Eagles had the first and second highest scores. Huffstutlar was the top overall finisher with 325. Skaggs was next with 324.
