Clay Target Team Captures Back-To-Back National Titles 

The clay target team won its second straight national title.

Marengo, Ohio-The women's and men's clay target team captured their second straight Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) National Championship in International Bunker/Trap topping Hillsdale College today in Ohio.

The group of Jacob TuckerCharles Priddy and Corbin Cooper won the national championship to make it back-to-back titles. The Eagles topped Hillsdale College for the title. The Eagles hit 305 targets, while Hillsdale hit 303. Saint Leo University finished third in the competition. In all, the Eagles beat out eight other programs. Tucker paced the Eagles with 108 targets. Priddy hit 101 and Cooper hit 96. Individually, Tucker was second overall in International Bunker/Trap.

"The team got better as the day went on," said head coach Lance Brown. "They consistently improved as a whole through the competition. It was remarkable to see. Jacob stood out in this competition and pulled out a 108. He has been a rock for this program and it showed today. Charles always does his best in any event and came out with a 101. Corbin shot a 96 to round out the group. They worked for every target. It was a situation where every target was a lesson and they all figured it out." 

The clay target program continues to set a standard for the sport as it now has four national championships over the past two seasons.

The Eagles were runner-up in International Skeet. The Eagles placed second overall in HOA American events. Individually, Charles Priddy won the American Trap doubles competition. Cameron Ziarko placed third in Trap doubles and third in Trap singles. Levi Prestidge placed second in Super Sporting and Jacob Tucker placed second in International Bunker. Lane Klohn, Wyatt McCaghren an Levi Prestidge were runner-up in International Skeet (team).
