Wyatt McCaghren and Jacob Tucker were named ACUI/SCTP Honorable Mention All-Americans.

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks clay target athletes Wyatt McCaghren and Jacob Tucker were named ACUI/SCTP Honorable Mention All-Americans, it was announced Tuesday (April 25).

The top 45 HOA finishers at the 2023 ACUI/SCTP National Championships are honored as All-Americans. Tucker, a senior from Booneville, Ark., placed 39th overall with a score of 548. McCaghren, a junior from Mayflower, Ark., placed 44th overall with a score of 545. The top HOA shooter hit 579 at the championships, which were held March 21-24 in San Antonio.

"Jacob and Wyatt competed and pushed themselves hard to shoot extremely well at nationals," said head men's coach Lance Brown. "They were the biggest contributors on the team and that's why they are All-American shooters."

Tucker helped the clay target team capture two consecutive national titles in International Trap/Bunker during his career. In 2021, McCaghren helped Ozarks bring home the national title in International Skeet. The duo has been among the top shooters at the Arkansas Collegiate Championships in each year of participation.

Tucker and McCaghren are the first All-Americans in program history. As a team, the Eagles had four top-10 finishes at the National Championships and placed ninth overall.
