Webster Nets Game-Winner In 97th Minute

St. Louis, Mo.-The men's soccer team fell to Webster 2-1 Saturday in overtime at St. Louis Soccer Park after holding a 1-0 lead nearly the entire match.

The non-conference match saw both teams with a goal after 90 minutes of play. But Ozarks (1-2-2) held a 1-0 advantage until about 50 seconds left in regulation. That was when Webster's Corey Redington netted the tying goal to send the match into overtime. From there, Redington would be the spoiler as he scored the game-winner in the 97th minute.

Thomas Mills put Ozarks in front 1-0 in the 33rd minute. Both teams had five shots and two corner kicks in the first half. Webster (1-4-0) then held a 14-4 shots advantage in the second half. Austin Benner made eight saves in goal for Ozarks.

Ozarks will host its first American Southwest Conference match of the season September 17 against Hardin-Simmons University.
