Men’s Soccer Players Receive All-Conference 

Seven players were named to the All-ASC Conference Team in men's soccer.

Clarksville, Ark.- Seven University of the Ozarks men's soccer players were honored by the American Southwest Conference as All-Conference performers, it was released today.
     
Junior defender Kyle Seymour and sophomore forward Daniel Lyon headlined the honorees by being named All-ASC First Team. Senior defender Jonathan Julmiste and senior midfielder Harry Hilton were named to the All-ASC Second Team. Freshman defender Brock Bernard and senior midfielder Alain Claude were named to the All-ASC Third Team. Senior forward Lorfils Milord was named to the All-ASC Honorable Mention Team.

Seymour, a native of New Lenox, Ill., started in 14 games as a defensive standout helping the Eagles record six shutouts. The dynamic Seymour was also a threat offensively as he scored six goals. His six goals tied for sixth most in the ASC. Seymour also contributed one game-winning goal and took 25 shots. He had a two-goal performance against Huntingdon. As a defender, he has eight career goals. 

Lyon, a native of Rockwall, Texas, led the team with nine goals, 21 points and 67 shots. He led the ASC in shots and ranked third in goals. He also led the league in shots per game (3.72). His 21 points placed him third overall among ASC players. In 18 games, Lyon recorded three assists and had 32 shots on frame. He had a two-goal performance against Huntingdon and had a goal and an assist against Mississippi University for Women. He took a season-high seven shots against McMurry.

Julmiste, a native of Haiti, guided the backline for the Eagles to six shutouts, third-most in the ASC. Julmiste used his 6-foot-3 frame to knock away opponent shots, while limiting conference opponents to a single goal in four home games. Julmiste's play in the back fueled the Eagles to a 4-1-1 home record. Julmiste started in 17 games and recorded two assists.

Hilton, a native of Manchester, England, started in 15 games and recorded a team-high six assists. Hilton was a strong player on the defensive end helping the Eagles secure another spot in the post-season. Behind Hilton's play, the Eagles shut out three conference opponents. His six assists ranked third in the ASC.

Bernard, a native of Rockwall, Texas, made an immediate impact as a freshman. Bernard played like a veteran helping the Eagles slow down opponents' scoring opportunities throughout the season. Bernard's play allowed the Eagles' defense to limit nine of their opponents to one goal or less during the season. Bernard contributed one assist and took four shots. He was named ASC Defensive Player of the Week once during the season.

Claude, a native of Haiti, started in 14 games and scored one goal with one assist. He took 24 shots on the season. He notched the game-winning goal against Howard Payne. Claude took four shots against two different opponents. He has seven career goals.

Milord, a native of Haiti, played in 17 games and finished third on the team in points with 10. He scored three goals and recorded four assists. He also took 30 shots and had one game-winning goal. Milord finishes his career with seven goals and nine assists.

The Eagles advanced to the ASC playoffs for the 19th time in program history.
