France Day Six & Seven - Exploring Like A Local

August 7: Soccer, Museum, Free time & Birthday Vlog

Today the men played a game against La Duchére Academy club. The result was a 2-1 loss, but Senior Kyle Seymour answered for the Eagles. After the game we got the option between two museums, and I picked the Cinema Museum, which is filled with original movie sets and props.

Dinner was a little bit special; it was my birthday and the Peace Campus group and Coach Natalie Dreyer made it one to remember. I am very thankful for the opportunity to share my bithday with my Ozarks family.

August 8th: Picnic, OL Olympique Lyonnais, Groupama Stadium and Soccer

Today was one of the most anticipated days with the excitement of getting to tour the Olympique Lyonnais facility and Groupama Stadium. To begin the day, we walked to a great spot in Lyon and had a picnic in the park. We then went to take the metro to OL Valley. Once we got there, we began the tour and got to learn the history of the team and see the facilities as well as the locker rooms and field. It was a very beautiful stadium to see, and we even got to walk through the same doors as the team with walkout music and lights. It was breath taking, everyone seemed to get the chills.

Following the tour, we got to play at the same practice facility as some of the players.

For dinner we again celebrated two players' birthdays, Lilly Hill and Mason Faucher.
