HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles opened the 2023 season posting an impressive 8-0 win against Centenary College Friday. Rasto Rimbo set the tone with a goal in the 2nd minute and then the Eagles followed with two more goals over the next 16 minutes by Bailey Sawyer and Erick Garcia. Kyle Seymour found the back of the net in the 22nd minute and Armani Obasi scored in his collegiate debut in the 42nd minute. The Eagles' attack against Centenary was relentless as the score at halftime was 5-0. The Eagles' offense overwhelmed the Gents and the visitors never recovered. The Eagles scored early in the second half behind a Jorensky Augustin goal. Garcia followed in the 50th minute and Chris Rodriguez added the final goal in the 69th minute. The Eagles pitched a shutout to open the season and limited Centenary to very few effective shots on the net.
