HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles opened conference play in thrilling fashion behind a game-winning goal from Rasto Rimbo in the 76th minute to edge Howard Payne University 2-1 on Saturday. The win was extra sweet on Senior Day and now the Eagles have won three in row. Ernesto Frias put the Eagles in front 1-0 in the 36th minute. The scored remained 1-0 at the half, but could have been more as the Eagles had eight shots. Howard Payne recorded seven shots in the second half and found the back of the net in the 68th minute. But Rimbo ignited the Senior Day and Homecoming crowd with a nice goal. Goalkeeper Caleb Anderson made a clutch save in the 88th minute to keep the Yellow Jackets from scoring. Anderson played the ball perfectly in the box on a hard hit shot from Emmanuel Nshimiyimana. The Eagles owned a 14-9 shots advantage and a 5-3 corner kicks advantage in the game. Anderson had seven saves.
