HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark. – Kyle Seymour scored twice in the first half and assisted on another in the second half as the Eagles put on a dominant performance against McMurry University with a 4-0 win on Thursday. The win kept the Eagles undefeated at home this season. The Eagles quickly established an offensive attack early on and Seymour delivered a goal in the eighth minute. As the Eagles continued to created scoring opportunities, Seymour again scored in the 29th minute and the Eagles led 2-0 at halftime. McMurry's best scoring chance was with less than two minutes in the first half, but goalkeeper Caleb Anderson made a diving save by punching the ball away. McMurry made more of a push in the second half with nine shots, but it was the Eagles that scored two additional goals. Luke Clingerman scored in the 67th minute on an assist from Seymour. Rasto Rimbo added another goal in the 79th minute. The Eagles now have five shutouts on the season, all coming in home matches.
