Men's Swim Team Places Fifth At Hendrix College Invite

The Eagles took fifth place at the Hendrix College Invite over the weekend.

Conway, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's swim team finished fifth at the Hendrix College Invite over the weekend in Conway.

Jacob Jones placed fourth in the 500 yard free (5:07.28). Joel Coppernoll improved on his own record in the 400 individual medley. Coppernoll placed second in the 400 yard IM (4:37.86). Coppernoll finished second in the 200 yard free (1:50.82) and broke the school record. Jones was fourth in the event posting a time of 1:51.27. Coppernoll was second in the 1650 yard free (17:37.43). Josh Collins broke the school record in the 100 individual medley and Jones broke the school record in the 200 backstroke. Jones, Jacob Tolland, Coppernoll and Collins broke the school record in the 400 freestyle relay.
 
"We had a lot of great swims and new best times," said head coach David DeGeus. "The team did well with the heavy event load they had today."
