Clarksville, Ark.-Senior swimmer Jacob Jones was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced today.

Jones, from Longview, Texas, received the award for performances during the period spanning Saturday, September 21 to Sunday, October 13. Jones had a great opening season to his senior year. At this past weekend's dual against Hendrix College, he won the 100 free in 49.17 and the 200 free in 1:49.73. Jones also came from behind to help the Eagles overtake Hendrix in the 200 freestyle relay with a 21.62 anchor.

Jones and the Eagles will compete in the Little Rock Invite October 19.
