Men’s Tennis Team Drops First ASC Match Of Season

Longview, Texas-The men's tennis team dropped a pair of road American Southwest Conference matches Saturday in Texas.

Ozarks (2-12, 1-2 ASC) lost 9-0 against nationally-ranked Texas-Tyler in the morning and then dropped its second match of the day against LeTourneau University 9-0 later in the afternoon.

In No. 1 doubles, Dillon Murray and Jacob Organ were narrowly defeated 8-6 against Texas-Tyler (13-7, 4-0 ASC). Texas-Tyler, ranked No. 29 in NCAA III, took No. 2 doubles 8-2. Ozarks took losses at No. 3 doubles and each singles match.

Against LeTourneau (2-13, 0-5 ASC), Murray and Organ were edged 9-8 at No. 1 doubles. Murray would battle to a 7-6, 5-7 (10-5) loss at No. 1 singles.

Ozarks will travel to Shreveport, La., to face Centenary College and East Texas Baptist April 15.
