Clarksville, Ark.-The No. 17 UT-Tyler men's tennis team proved its national ranking as it handed the Eagles a 9-0 setback Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
The Patriots (12-3, 1-0 ASC) started the day with three straight doubles wins. From there, UT-Tyler had wins at each singles position. It wasn't without fight though as Reid Burch narrowly lost 7-6, 4-6, 10-4 at No. 5. The Eagles are now 5-10 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
The Eagles will travel to Pineville, Louisiana, to face Louisiana College April 8.
