2018 Spring Men's Tennis Preview

The 2018 University of the Ozarks men's tennis team aims for its fifth straight American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament appearance.  The Eagles not only want to get to the tournament, but advance further under new head coach Jeff Kutac. The Eagles still remain a young team despite having most of its key players back from last season. Transfer Melle Van Duijn is expected to make an immediate impact. The veteran Kutac will have the luxury of coaching at the new multi-million dollar Tennis Center expected to open later in the season. The facility will among the best in NCAA Division III and includes PlaySight technology.

All-Conference Players Returning: Jonah Martinez and Cole Lankford earned First Team All-East Division honors at No. 3 doubles. Martinez made the All-East Second Team at No. 6 singles.

"We have a very solid group of young men. They have been battling and working hard to improve. We have a lot of different pairings in doubles we can put together. I really believe doubles will be a strength for us. In singles, we have a good balance and pretty much any player could step in and do a good job for us."
