Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks sophomore Melle Van Duijn was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday (February 20).

Van Duijn, a native of New Zealand, posted an undefeated record over the weekend in No. 1 singles and No. 3 doubles. Van Duijn defeated Nathan Kuykendall from John Brown University 6-2, 6-4 Saturday morning and then came back in the afternoon to top Kristian Lenser from Hendrix College 7-6, 0-6, 10-7. In No. 3 doubles, he teamed with Walker Murray to handle Jordan Scroggins and Kumal Fulghem from John Brown 8-5. He and teammate Bryce Johnson won 8-4 over Robbie Kiss and Parker Work from Hendrix.

Ozarks will host Schreiner University March 2.
