Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks junior Jonah Martinez was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday (February 12).

Martinez, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, posted an undefeated record over the weekend in No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles. Martinez defeated Cooper Cearley from Millsaps College 6-4, 6-4 Sunday in Conway. In doubles, he teamed with Cole Lankford to handle Jacob Niehaus and Alex Gardiner 8-3. This is his third Player of the Week honor of the season.
     
Martinez has received All-Conference as well as ASC All-Academic and ITA Scholar-Athlete in his career.

The Eagles will travel to Conway to face Hendrix College February 16.
