Men's Tennis Cruises Past Louisiana College

Walker Murray makes a return.

Alexandria, La.-The University of the Ozarks men's tennis team cruised past Louisiana College 9-0 to open American Southwest Conference play Saturday in Louisiana.

The Eagles (4-8, 1-0 ASC) swept doubles with Reid Birch and Bryce Johnson winning 8-0 at the No. 1 position. At No. 2 doubles, Bryant Cason and Walker Murray took a 8-3 win. In No. 3 action, Jonah Martinez and Akevion Cunningham posted a 8-0 win. The Eagles' domination didn't stop there as the team easily handled the Wildcats (2-7, 0-3 ASC) in singles. Martinez took a 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot. Johnson won his No. 2 position 6-1, 6-0. Birch posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 3 position. Murray was victorious 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Harrison Harbin grabbed a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5 and Cunningham won 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 6 spot.

The Eagles will take on Centenary College March 31.
