Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks has announced Blake Olmscheid as the interim head women's and men's tennis coach, it was released Wednesday (September 4) by Athletics Director Jimmy Clark.
A former NCAA Division III standout at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, Olmscheid finished his career among the school's top-10 all-time leaders in doubles victories. He played No. 1 doubles and was a team captain during his senior year.
Olmscheid, a native of Farmington, Minn., has more than six years of teaching and coaching experience. He previously served as a teaching pro at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis since 2016.
He has also served as the head boy's and girl's tennis coach at Farmington High School in Minnesota since 2016 and as the tennis director for the Farmington Parks & Recreation from 2013-2015.
The move comes following the resignation of head coach Jeff Kutac last week to accept a position in Texas. Olmscheid previously served as the assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis teams.
Olmscheid graduated from Saint Mary's University in 2016 with a degree in graphic design.
