Track Team Opens Season In Missouri Southern Open

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's and men's track team opened its spring season by competing in the Missouri Southern Open Indoor Meet over the weekend in Joplin, Missouri.

In the 60-meter race, Jacob Williams ran a 7.32 and Josue Oviedo ran a 8.45. In the 200-meter dash, Tyler O'Banion ran a 26.98. In the 400-meter, O'Banion ran a 1:00.42. In the women's 800-meter run, Hannah Smith placed fifth with a time of 2:38.43. Grasyn Langley ran a 2:53.60 in the 800-meter. Caitlyn Bell ran a 6:26.10 in the one-mile run. Stephanie Alderson posted a time of 6:31.93 in the one-mile. In the men's one-mile, Jonathon Wood ran a 5:00.43.

Ozarks will travel to Warrensburg, Missouri for the University of Central Missouri Classic February 17.
