Abilene, Texas-Michael Harris took home the 2018 American Southwest Conference Steeplechase Championship today in Abilene, Texas, running a 10:12.97.

Harris pulled away late in the race and topped Will McIlroy from UT-Tyler, who ran a 10:17.46. It was a tough race for Harris facing a tough head wind throughout. Harris' race capped the day's final event at the Championships.
