Fort Smith, Ark.-The men's cross country team opened the 2014 season at the Platinum Buffalo Cross Country Festival Saturday in Fort Smith.

The Eagles finished third at the race.

In the men's 8K, Cade Edwards was the top finisher for Ozarks with a time of 33:24.4, good enough for 16^th overall. Bryant Ford (33:59.1, 17^th), Todd Turner (34:19.1, 19^th), Sam Binns (36:59.6, 22^nd) and Robert Elder (40:45.1, 23^rd) finished out the men's runners for Ozarks.
