Cross Country Set For NCAA III Memphis Regional

NCAA cross country regional.

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks runners from the women's and men's cross country program will compete in the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional November 16 in Memphis.

The NCAA III Regional will be hosted by Rhodes College. Silvia Chavez, Areli Moreno, Sydney Pyle and Anya Sifuentes will represent Ozarks in the women's 6K race. Nathaneal RankinJaeden MillerMichael Harris, Aaron Capehart (alternate), Jacob Mills, Kenny Fernandez, Misael Perez, Jonathon Wood and Edwin Rivera will compete in the men's 8K. The men's race will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the women's race starts at 12:15 p.m. 
 
Rankin received an at-large bid to nationals last season following his performance at the 2018 Regional.

The top-35 runners will receive All-Region honors. The regional is also a chance for individual runners to qualify for nationals November 23 in Louisville, Kentucky. The top two team finishers along with the top-seven individuals at the South/Southeast Regionals advance to the NCAA Division III National Championships.

The men's team finished third at the ASC Championships, with Rankin and Harris finishing first and third. The women placed eighth at the ASC Championships.
