Ozarks moves to 13-20 overall and 3-17 in ASC play. The Lady Choctaws improve to 19-14 overall and 10-10 in league play. The Lady Choctaws broke open a scoreless game in the top of the tenth with a four-run inning to gain a 4-2 victory over Ozarks in game one. Mississippi College's Anna Lisa Posey and Katie Perry both came up with big hits and collected two RBI in the top of the tenth. Ozarks got two runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning, but it wouldn't be enough. Perry, also Mississippi College's starting pitcher, held Ozarks to two hits through nine innings. Perry and Ozarks' starter Andrea Mitchell competed in a pitching dual as both held their opponents off the scoreboard for nine. Mississippi College threatened to score in the top of the eighth, but Mitchell forced back-to-back groundouts to end the inning after the Lady Choctaws had runners in scoring position with one out. Kara Bartholomew's diving catch in the top of the ninth for the third out gave Ozarks a chance for the win. Trailing 4-0, Ozarks mustered two runs in their final at bat of the game behind a Chelsea Joslin RBI and a Danielle Dirks RBI double. Dana Marvin (2-8) received the loss. Game two saw Mississippi College jump out to a 3-0 lead after one inning of play and prevail for a 7-0 shutout over Ozarks. Ozarks couldn't get much offense going as they collected only three hits in the contest. Chanceree Catlett (6-8) received the loss. Ozarks will end ASC play tomorrow in a double-header against the Lady Choctaws beginning at 11:00 a.m. Tomorrow's game has been designated as "Senior Day" for Dana Marvin and Trenda Neff. Both will be honored between games. Ozarks ends the season Sunday when they travel to Conway to face Hendrix College.
