Joslin Displays Record-Setting Power

<#IMAGE:1#>Joslin's record-setting game came in a 28-run affair against three different LeTourneau (7-21, 0-12) pitchers. The Claremore, Okla., native hit a solo shot in the fourth and then proceeded to hit a pair of two-run homers in the fifth and sixth innings. Her third of the game sets a new ASC single-game home run record. The previous record of two was held by numerous ASC players. Joslin now has eight home runs this season and a school-best 20 for her career. In game one, Ozarks (15-15, 7-9) trailed briefly, 9-8, after the fourth. Joslin's homer in the top half of the inning was one of three runs the Lady Eagles would score in the frame. Her two-run smash in the top of the fifth gave Ozarks a 10-9 advantage. The right-handed slugger would strike again with a two-run shot in the top of the sixth, giving Ozarks a comfortable 15-9 lead. Joslin would finish 3-for-3 with 5 RBI. Brooke Grice went 3-for-5. Andrea Mitchell pitched the entire seven innings, earning her sixth win of the year. She struck out five. Henson pitched her second two-hit shutout in as many days as the freshman right-hander struck out five in a seven-inning complete game effort. She moves to 9-4 on the season. Ozarks held a 2-0 lead after six innings of play and added two more insurance runs in the top of the seventh for Henson. Henson allowed only one base runner in the first six innings of play. Ozarks recorded five hits in the contest, all of which came from five different players. Ozarks will host nationally-ranked Louisiana College on April 13 and April 14.
