Christina Byler's two-run double in the eighth gave Hendrix (13-25) all they would need as the Warriors took a 2-1 extra inning win against the Eagles (13-23). The game went scoreless through seven innings as each starting pitcher kept the opposing bats in check. Facing a 2-0 deficit in the bottom of the eighth with two outs, Sarah Otteman brought life to Ozarks as she singled in Stephany Henson. But Hendrix starter Jaclyn Herrera fanned the next batter to end the game.

Henson (4-12) took the loss and went the entire eight innings. Otteman finished 3-for-4.

Otteman's bases-clearing double in the fourth gave Ozarks a 6-2 lead, but the Warriors stormed back with a five-run sixth to edge the Eagles 7-6 in game two. Ozarks plated three runs in the third, two of which came on a single by Chelsea Joslin. A three-run homer in the top of the sixth did most of the damage for Hendrix. In the bottom half of the sixth, Ozarks got their first two runners on base, but were unable to cash either in. 

Otteman again led Ozarks offensively as she went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI.

Ashleigh Roberts (0-1) took the loss.

The Lady Eagles will finish out the season with a pair of trips to American Southwest Conference opponents next week. Ozarks will travel to Tyler, Texas, to face Texas-Tyler on April 24. The final games of the season will be against East Texas Baptist University April 26 in Marshall, Texas.
