In game one, Ozarks (9-7) out hit Central Baptist 7-4, but it was Hailey King's homer in the top of the sixth that put the Mustangs (18-8) in the lead for good. Ozarks manufactured one run in the bottom of the first when Cheslea Joslin singled in Danielle Dirks. Trailing 2-1, Ozarks began a two out rally in the bottom half of the sixth when a pair of runners reached base, but Mustang pitcher Schylar Dake ended the inning with a strikeout. A pair of costly errors in the seventh put another run on the board for the Mustangs. Ozarks' starter Stephany Henson cruised through the first five innings, allowing only one hit during that span. Henson (3-5) suffered the loss as she went the distance. 

Dirks and Joslin each went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Joslin hammered a three-run homer in the first inning as the Lady Eagles went on to a 4-0 lead at the end of the frame. It was her second home run of the season and the 24th of her career. The Lady Eagles padded their lead to 7-0 after two thanks to a two-run throwing error and an RBI bunt by Sarah Otteman. Starter Brittany Thompson kept the Mustangs scoreless for the first four innings behind seven strikeouts. The Mustangs did score three runs in the fifth to make it 7-3. In the sixth, Otteman singled through the left side of the infield to score Jessica Pianalto. 

Pianalto, Otteman and Julie Wilkinson each went 2-for-3. Joslin had a team-best 3 RBI.

Thompson (6-1) got the win after going five innings and finishing with eight strikeouts.

Ozarks will travel to Jackson, Mississippi, to face Millsaps College on March 29.
