No. 3 Texas-Tyler Completes Four-Game Sweep

Texas-Tyler (29-5, 14-4 ASC) won game one 15-3 and then took game two 17-1.
In game one, the Patriots took advantage of seven Ozarks' errors and held a 10-0 lead heading into the bottom of the second inning. Ozarks (7-29, 1-19 ASC) rallied for three runs in the second behind a Kelsey Mefford two-run homer and a Kelsey Stephens RBI double. Stephany Henson (4-16) took the loss. Ali Mathis was a perfect 3-for-3 with a run. Mefford finished 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In game two, Texas-Tyler scored seven in the second and five in the third to put the game away early. Mefford broke up the shutout in the fourth inning with an RBI double. Morgan Goates paced Ozarks with a 2-for-2 effort at the plate. Henson suffered the loss.

The Lady Eagles will travel to Richardson, Texas, to face Texas-Dallas in a four-game series April 23-24.
