The All-America Scholar-Athlete award is bestowed upon any player submitted by a member coach who achieved a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2011-12 academic year.

Rollins, a right-handed pitcher, was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the ASC All-East Division Second Team last year. Rollins led the ASC in strikeouts (172), innings pitched (194.1), appearances (35), games started (26) and complete games (25). She broke single-season school records in appearances, innings pitched and strikeouts. 

She is a biology major from Searcy, Ark.

Sorensen, a catcher and third baseman, played in 30 games with 10 starts. She collected a pair of doubles and stole two bases during the 2012 season. She posted a .968 fielding percentage. Sorensen is also a member of the women's basketball team.

She is a biology major from Mountainburg, Ark.

"Shawnee and Amber are the type of players every coach loves to have in their program," said Head Coach Laurie Adkins. "They are very self-directed, motivated, and driven to pursue excellence in their academic and athletic careers. Amber had a record-setting freshman year, winning Freshman of the Year honors in the conference, a first in the 11-year history of our program. She led the team to wins over a pair of nationally ranked programs, while keeping her grades up to exemplary levels. Shawnee plays both basketball and softball, traveling with each team in both the fall and spring. She has been able to do this and also be exceptional both on and off the field. I am very proud of these players and feel we will continue to see great things from them."
