Lady Eagles Drop Concordia Series

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles dropped both of their games against Concordia University Texas Saturday to end the series without a win.
     
Ozarks (0-4, 0-3 ASC) dropped game one 5-1 in conference action and then suffered a 7-1 setback in game two. In game one, the Lady Eagles recorded six hits, but generated just one run. Shawnee Sorensen drove in that run in the fourth inning, which cut the deficit to 2-1. Arel Ferguson paced the offensive attack with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate.  Kysten Shavers (0-1) took the loss in the circle. Shavers fanned three. 
    
In game two, Concordia (4-0, 3-0 ASC) scored three decisive runs in the sixth to take momentum and earn the sweep. Kayla Gray and Sorensen each had two hits. Haley McKee (0-2) took the loss.
    
Ozarks will travel to Longview, Texas, to face LeTourneau University in conference play.
