Softball Team Takes Dominating 14-6 Win

Springdale, Ark.-The U of O softball team posted its first win of the season Tuesday with a dominating 14-6 victory over Ecclesia College.
    
The Lady Eagles (1-8) pounded out 21 hits and scored at least one run in each of the seven innings. Holding a 3-0 lead after two innings, Ozarks added three more runs in the third to increase its advantage to 6-0. Ecclesia (8-12) answered with five runs in the bottom of the third to put pressure on Ozarks. However, Ozarks responded with two runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth. Six different players had multiple-hit games for the Lady Eagles.

Haley McKee (1-3) received the win after tossing a complete game. McKee struck out two.
    
The Lady Eagles weren't so fortunate in the first game of their double-header. Ecclesia took a 11-3 run-rule victory behind a four-run first and four-run third. Krysten Shaves (0-3) took the loss.

Ozarks will travel to Pineville, Louisiana, to face Louisiana College Friday and Saturday in American Southwest Conference action.
