Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks athletic department will hold a special lunch for all student-athletes April 7 in the cafeteria as part of the NCAA's Division III Week.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will give away prizes at the lunch beginning at 11:00 a.m. More prizes will be given away at noon. More than 170 students or nearly 30 percent of the student body participate in athletics at Ozarks. 54 student-athletes made the ASC All-Academic Team during the 2013-2014 academic year.
The NCAA's Division III Student-Athlete Week is part of the division's identity initiative, which was introduced in 2010 to provide an assortment of tools and programs for use in sharpening the division's identity, and to enable schools and conferences to promote their membership in Division III to constituencies ranging from prospective student-athletes to the local community.
