Gray's only hit of the day came at the right time as Ozarks (8-12, 6-10 ASC) trailed 5-4. The hit was also part of a six-run fifth. With the bases loaded and one out, Beth Massey singled in a run to even the contest 5-5. Carlee Shelton followed with another single to put Ozarks in front 6-5. Gray then powered a hit over the left field fence to give Ozarks the game's momentum and a 10-5 advantage.  The Lady Eagles would later need those runs as Howard Payne (7-15, 3-13 ASC) scored once in the sixth and twice in the seventh. Howard Payne had the tying run at the plate with just one out in the seventh, but Hannah Oler (1-4) was able to force a groundout to get the second out. Oler then struck out the final batter in dramatic fashion freezing Gaby Muniz with a called third strike to end the game. Oler pitched five innings in relief to receive the win. She had three strikeouts. Abigail Mork was the starter and went two innings.

Trailing 2-1, Ozarks scored three runs in the bottom of the second to gain a 4-2 advantage. Oler, Bethany Mason and Krysten Shavers all had RBI in the second.

The Lady Eagles recorded 14 hits, with Shavers finishing 3-for-4 and driving in two runs. Gray finished with four RBI.

In game one, Ozarks held a 1-0 lead until the top of the fourth when Howard Payne scored three runs, giving the visitors a lead it wouldn't relinquish. Shelton had an RBI in the seventh. Hailie Gilbert (6-6) took the loss as the starter. Massey went 2-for-3 to pace Ozarks at the plate.
