Big Seventh Inning Lifts Sul Ross State Past Ozarks

Clarksville, Ark.-Sul Ross State broke open a tight game in the seventh inning by scoring six runs to take a 8-2 win Saturday over Ozarks in American Southwest Conference play.

Despite the loss, Ozarks (4-5, 4-5 ASC) still won the series after sweeping the Lobos (3-7, 3-7 ASC) in a double-header Friday.

With the score tied 2-2 heading into the seventh, Sul Ross took advantage of three Ozarks' errors to pile on six runs. Ozarks was unable to plate any runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Ozarks trailed 2-0 before scoring in the third and the fifth inning to eventually even the contest.

Ozarks will travel to Abilene, Texas, for a three-game series against Hardin-Simmons University March 4-5.
