Abilene, Texas-Ozarks would open with a 1-0 lead, but couldn't hold it as Hardin-Simmons University answered with a pair of big innings to take 14-3 game three win Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Krysten Shavers singled in Brooke Hoffsommer in the first, but Hardin-Simmons (8-8, 4-8 ASC) plated six runs over the next two innings to hold a 6-1 lead. The Eagles (5-7, 5-7 ASC) responded with a run in the top of the third behind another RBI from Shavers. But the Cowgirls scored eight runs on five hits in the fourth to take control of the game.
    
Hardin-Simmons totaled 12 hits in the contest, while Ozarks recorded three. Abby Mork (4-5) took the loss in the circle.

Ozarks will host Belhaven March 11-12 in a three-game series.
